The story behind the sound

Collaborating with orchestras worldwide and performing a wide variety of styles – ranging from baroque, romantic and Belcanto opera repertoire to contemporary classical music – De Renais has recorded for over 200 Hollywood film soundtracks and provided backing vocals for an array of pop and jazz artists. Her solo recordings range from songs in her native Flemish to French and German song and oratorio premieres, as well as light jazz and easy-listening. A choral and piano scholar for almost a quarter of a century, De Renais has been awarded diplomas from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, the LUCA School of Arts and Brussels’ Royal Conservatoire of Music. Today, she continues to teach choral students at the University of Cambridge’s Trinity Chapel Choir.
