The story behind the sound

Conductor, composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Lucas Cantor has been writing for film and television for over a decade. A fixture in NBC’s Olympic Games music department since 2002, Lucas won two Emmys for his work with the Beijing and London games, respectively. Lucas co-produced Lorde’s cover of Tears for Fears song “Everybody Wants to Rule The World” featured on the “Hunger Games: Catching Fire” soundtrack. He’s written for animated shows ""DreamWorks Animation's Spirit: Riding Free,"" “Cannon Busters,” and The Descendants’s “A Rotten Holiday.” Additionally, he composed for The Devotion Project, a short film series about LGBTQ couples. His music is both filmic and emotionally-charged, ranging from romantic to eerily mysterious.
